Field of Dreams Horse Rescue and Adoption provides adoption services
that there are loving owners that care deeply about their equine friends
but due to a variety of circumstances can not keep their horses.
Whenever possible, we will accept horses from owners wishing to donate
their horse.
Because we are a certified 501© (3) nonprofit volunteer organization,
funded solely by donations, we require a minimum $300 donation for
transferring ownership of the horse to FODHRA. The donation will
help defray the costs of a vet exam, initial farrier evaluation, and any
dental work that may need to be completed.
You will be asked to complete a give-up form to help us get to know
your horse. This evaluation form will provide detailed information on
the health, habits, abilities, and outline any issues that we should be
aware of in the new placement of your horse. You will also be asked to
transfer any paperwork that is assigned to the horse.
We will ask for permission to talk to your veterinarian about any known
health issues.
You will have the ability to visit your horse while they are a “guest” at
Field of Dreams.
You will be placed on a waiting list if our facility is full.
If we are unable to take your horse, we will work with you free of
charge to identify possible interested parties. Our goal is to help all
horses, even those not in our care, to find a new loving home.
